Fushigi Oyaji OR
Miaka's Shibuya Adventure
By P-P-P-Chan
Note from author: This fanfic is meant to parody the actions that most of the
characters take in nearly every episode of Fushigi Yuugi. It takes place between
episodes 46-48 in the T.V. series. It is my first fanfic, so if it sucks, just
bear with it! One final note: An oyaji is an adult salary man who lusts over
woman. In Japan, especially in Shibuya, prostitution between teen girls and
these oyaji has sadly been on the rise. This extra tidbit of info will hopefully
clear up any confusion towards the end of the fanfic. Thanks, and enjoy!
Part 1:
"Miaka! I say that we show Tamahome a good time! Who knows when we will have to
return him back to the Universe of the Four Gods? Before you know it, he will
have to leave, and he won't even be acquainted to your world." Keisuke
energetically suggested to Miaka.
She gently sipped from her glass of tea, and nodded her head in approval.
Tamahome had just returned with her from Konan, and she was eager to show him
around her world as well.
"Well, I say we take him to Shibuya. I'm sure he'll find a lot of things
interesting around there." Keisuke added.
"Gat's ug great gidea!" Miaka proclaimed. Her face was stuffed in a bowl of
rice, and the sticky grains stuck to her face and chin.
"What did you say?"
"I said, 'That's a great idea'! Weren't you listening, Keisuke?"
"I was listening, alright. But how am I supposed to understand you when you
have food stuffed in your mouth? I guess being in that book didn't tame your
appetite!"
Suddenly, Tamahome gracefully stepped into the kitchen. He was wearing the
clothes he had borrowed from Keisuke, and looked absolutely dashing. He turned
to Miaka with a nervous face.
"Are you sure I look okay in this?" He asked.
"Tamahome! You look gorgeous!" Miaka screeched as Keisuke fell to the floor
from the shock. Streams of drool slithered down Miaka's face, and she tightly
clung to Tamahome.
"Well, anyway, Tamahome, we're going to take you to Shibuya today. We thought
you might like to see some of Miaka's world." Keisuke said as he stood up from
the floor.
"That sounds good. But, what's Shibuya?" Tamahome asked as he attempted to push
Miaka off him.
"Shibuya is a shopping district in our world. I am sure you will have a great
time there. Me and Miaka go there all of the time."
"Cool." Tamahome calmly said.
"Oh, and Miaka, could you please get off me?" He nervously added.
Part 2:
Tamahome, Keisuke, and Miaka sat at the restaurant table eagerly discussing the
beginnings of their day. The trains, planes, and cars of Miaka's world
fascinated Tamahome, who thought wonders of this strange alien world. While
wandering throughout Shibuya, the gang stopped in a few shops. Keisuke had
bought a few magazines from a store, but for some reason wouldn't show them to
Miaka and Tamahome. He said they were private, and nimbly tucked them into his
bag. Miaka bought a gift for Tamahome at a souvenir shop. It was a beautiful
wristwatch that had a tiny train circling around the frame. Tamahome stood,
fixated by the watch for nearly a half an hour, and eagerly thanked her for it
at every available chance.
Everything seemed to go well throughout the day. The lunch was pleasant, until
Miaka greedily stole Keisuke's portions. Yet other then that, it seemed nothing
could possibly go...
"12, 700 YEN! Miaka, just exactly how much did you order?!" Keisuke screamed in
horror.
"Just...the whole menu...", Miaka slowly mumbled.
"The...the...the whole menu! Miaka, what were you thinking?!"
"I was just so hungry! I'm sorry, I really am! This is all my fault! Don't
worry, Keisuke-kun! I will go out there and get us some money, I promise!" Miaka
proclaimed as she tried to hold back tears.
"No, MIAKA!" Tamahome shouted at the top of his lungs, but Miaka had already
swiftly dashed out of the restaurant.
Keisuke sighed, and then began to speak:
"That baka! Doesn't she realize that Shibuya can be a dangerous place,
especially for girls like her!"
Part 3:
Miaka had never wandered around Shibuya alone before, and the crowds of people
began to intimidate her.
"Just how am I going to get Keisuke money for the lunch? If I don't do
something, he'll get in trouble with mom, and it is all because of me..."
Then, out of the crowd, a short and bald businessman appeared. He carried a
sleek leather suitcase, and evilly grinned.
"Were you just saying that you needed money, young lady?" He kindly asked.
"Why, do you know how I could get some?" Miaka gingerly replied.
"Well, if you do me a favor, I can give you 30,000 yen."
"30,000 yen!" Miaka exclaimed.
"So, will you do me a favor if I give you this money?" The man asked.
"Yes! Anything for 30,000 yen!"
"Then just follow me...", the man began.
Part 4:
About ten minutes later, Miaka arrived at an alleyway with the businessman.
"Why did you take me here?" Miaka asked. Her eyes were wide with dread.
"The favor, my dear. You promised you would do me a favor, didn't you?" He
quickly replied.
"Well, yes, I suppose I did." Miaka answered.
"Good..", He smoothly said. He reached out his hand, and placed it on Miaka's
face.
"What...What are you doing?!" Miaka screamed in terror.
"What, is 30,000 not the going price these days?"
Suddenly, Miaka realized what was going on. This man was...an OYAJI! Just like
the ones she read about in the tabloids, he was trying to pay Miaka to do
indecent things!
"Listen, sir! I think you have the wrong idea about me!" Miaka shouted, and
slapped the old man in the face.
"Listen here, girl! I am not letting you leave until you do me that favor,
understood?" He tightly grabbed her wrist, and pushed her against the wall.
"No! Help me! HELP ME! Help me, Tamahome! Tamahome! TA-MA-HO-ME!" Miaka
screamed, but Tamahome didn't come to rescue her.
"Alright, I guess I will have to take matters into my own hands!" She shouted,
and with that, she kneed the oyaji in the crouch.
Suddenly, Tamahome leapt down off the building above Miaka, and landed straight
in front of the oyaji. He punched the oyaji in the face, knocking him
unconscious.
"Miaka...", Tamahome whispered.
"Tamahome", Miaka gently cooed back.
"Miaka"
"Tamahome"
"Miaka"
"Tamahome"
"Miaka"
"Tamahome"
"Miaka"
"Tamahome"
The two lovers dumbly proclaimed their love for each other, over and over
again. It would be a few hours until they would finish and return to meet
Keisuke back at the restaurant. In the mean time, Keisuke sat at the table,
reading his magazines. You could say this story ended happily for all of the
characters involved. That is, except for the oyaji, who still remains on the
ground of the alleyway, drenched in his own tears of regret.
The End.
